Bring the whole family to our Train Club Open House celebrating Bay Area Rail, Short Lines, and Transit! The Carquinez Model Railroad Society is opening its doors for a fun and interactive weekend where kids and adults alike can see the trains that move our region brought to life in miniature.
Watch BART commuter trains, Amtrak passenger service, and local short lines travel through detailed cities, rail yards, and industrial scenes inspired by Northern California. Children love spotting familiar trains and watching them move through the layout, while parents enjoy learning how freight and transit connect communities across the Bay Area. Club members will be on hand to answer questions and share how the railroad operates behind the scenes.
This indoor event is perfect for families looking for something unique to do together. Whether your child is fascinated by trains or you’re simply searching for a memorable weekend activity, there’s something exciting to see around every corner.
Join us February 28 and March 1 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at 645 Loring Avenue in Crockett. Admission is $5, and kids 16 and under are free.
