Earth Month BioBlitz at the EEC

Come celebrate Earth Month with us at the Refuge and participate in a BioBlitz where we will be documenting different plants and animals!

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.

Join us to learn about the Refuge and contribute to community science by participating in a BioBlitz!

We will lead a leisurely walk in the Butterfly Garden and on the New Chicago Marsh boardwalk at the Alviso Unit of the Don Edwards SF Bay National Wildlife Refuge to look for plants, insects, birds, and much more. This program is suitable for all ages, and the trails are accessible. Those of all experience levels with iNaturalist are welcome to participate. You're also welcome to participate on your own at other parts of the Refuge!

Want to be ready to go? Create an iNaturalist account and download the app on your smartphone. We also recommend joining our iNaturalist Project in advance by searching for "Don Edwards SF Bay NWR April 2025 BioBlitz" We will help you with the rest!
