We have all kinds of things planned:
- We will be having our Steel Beach BBQ with great BBQ food items available to purchase as well as drinks.
- The Swingin’ Blue Stars will be playing in the Hangar Bay starting at 1 PM. Listen to them sing all the great WWII era hits!
- The King Tide Players will start playing in the Hangar Bay at 2 PM. Listen to their fun and nostalgic Sea Chanteys! More info about the band below.
- The Island structure above the flight deck will be open for free tours. This is normally a paid tour but for free you can see the Admiral’s bridge, the Navigation Bridge, sit in the Captain’s Chair and more!
- We will be having a local 4th of July themed Arts and Crafts Fair on the pier next to the ship! Come see local artists and more!
- STACK UP will be here as well-they will demo what they do-which is gaming for Veterans.
- If you are a participant in the Alameda City 4th of July Parade and you want to come park your vehicle/float at the Hornet afterwards-please do and you can engage all the guests coming to the visit us!
Sign up to be an artist at the Arts and Crafts Fair here!
We will be taking artist sign ups until June 15th.
