July 19th: BUILD YOUR OWN LUNAR LANDER
What you must know is that the onboard computer began to steer Astronauts Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong dangerously close to a crater with potentially disastrous results, Neil put the craft on manual control and avoided disaster.
In this activity, go to JPL's Touchdown Activity, build your own lunar lander and even create a landing zone made of flour or sand, just like the regolith on the MOON!
Post your #LunarLander, #MoonLanding, #Touchdown, and #MadeForTheMoon ours with these hashtags because we want to celebrate your ENGINEERING SKILLS and the skills of all the women and men who made the Moon Landing possible.
